Interior Minister urges moderation and compassion in Eid celebrations

Interior Minister Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak has a message for Muslims. He urges them to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr in moderation. He also encourages support for those in need.

In a heartfelt social media post, he stressed the values of Islam. These include peace, unity, and charity.

“Let’s celebrate moderately and remember the less fortunate,” he said. “Islam teaches us peace and unity. We should support our neighbors, regardless of their beliefs.” He also advised against activities that could disturb public peace or lead to violence.

His message is timely as many families face economic challenges. This makes it hard for them to fully enjoy the festivities.

The minister emphasized that Eid is more than just feasting. It is about kindness and generosity towards those who are struggling.

As Muslims conclude Ramadan, a time of fasting and reflection, he reminded everyone to pray and express gratitude.

“It is my prayer that Allah grants us good health and wisdom,” he said. “May we work hard and be truthful in our endeavors. I hope we can celebrate many more Eids in the future.”
