Interior Ministry tops ACEYE's list of Best-performing state institutions in Ghana

Ghana's Ministry of Interior has been recognized as the best institution. This recognition comes from the Africa Centre for Entrepreneurship and Youth Empowerment (ACEYE).

The report is titled 'Index of Government Institutions' Performance Towards Economic Prosperity (IGIPTEP)'. It evaluated government institutions on service quality, transparency, financial management, and public engagement.

The Ministry of Interior scored 80.8% overall and 80% in public engagement. However, the report highlighted weaknesses in transparency regarding fund allocation and contract management.

The full report will be launched on March 27, 2025. The event will take place at Alisa Hotel in Accra. Minister Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba will speak at the launch. Other attendees include Joyce Lee from Atlas Network and Fred McMahon, Resident Fellow. Dr. Michael A. Walker and Franklin Cudjoe from Imani Africa will also be present.
