Intimidation attempts against Minority will be resisted – Oppong Nkrumah

Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, MP for Ofoase Ayirebi, spoke out against intimidation. He said the Minority Caucus will not be intimidated by the government.

On April 9, 2025, NIB officials surrounded Rev. Ntim Fordjour's home in Accra. They aimed to detain him over allegations about two suspicious flights at Kotoka International Airport. Fordjour suggested these flights were linked to drug trafficking and money laundering.

Minority members and NPP executives intervened during this incident. They argued that the NIB operatives did not have an arrest warrant and were not following legal procedures.

In an interview with Bernard Avle on Channel One TV, Oppong Nkrumah made a strong statement. He said, "Attempts to cow the Minority into submission will fail." He added that losing an election does not mean staying silent.

He criticized Richard Jakpa for raiding homes without subsequent prosecutions. Oppong Nkrumah suggested there is a plan to exert state dominance over everyone.
