Isaac Egyir retires from Prisons Service after 29 years of service

Personnel of the Ghana Prisons Service have been urged to maintain professionalism. They should also uphold discipline and a spirit of service. This will help them leave behind legacies worth emulating.

The call was made during a pull-out ceremony on Monday in Accra. The event honored Mr. Isaac Kofi Egyir, the outgoing Director General. He served successfully for 29 years.

A pull-out ceremony is a traditional event for security services. It marks the formal exit of a senior officer from active service.

During the ceremony, a sermon was delivered on behalf of Most Rev. Prof. Paul K. Boafo. He is the Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana. The sermon emphasized that leadership is a divine responsibility and deserving leaders should be honored accordingly.
