It’s time Ablakwa admits private jet politics was wrong – Kofi Ofosu Nkansah

Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, former CEO of NEIP, has a message for Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa. He hopes Ablakwa will acknowledge that private jet politics was wrong.

Over the weekend, calls for the foreign affairs minister to resign increased. These calls stemmed from an interview he gave while in opposition. In that interview, he stated he would resign if his government used private jets.

In response to these resignation calls, Nkansah urged NDC members to admit their past mistakes. He expressed this view on social media. He said, “I hope our NDC friends, especially Hon. Okudzeto, will admit that private jet politics was wrong.”

Nkansah criticized the NDC for spreading false claims about President Akufo-Addo. He noted that official trips were necessary when the presidential jet was unavailable.

He also highlighted the challenges faced by President Mahama during his Africa trips. Without a private jet, Mahama would have endured significant stress. In Africa, travelers can take three commercial flights just to reach another country. Was this what the NDC expected President Akufo-Addo to do?
