It is about time good men of this country stood up for what is right – Dame on CJ’s removal process

Godfred Yeboah Dame, the former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, has spoken out. He believes it is time for good men in the country to stand up for what is right.

Dame clarified that representing suspended Chief Justice Torkornoo does not mean he aligns with the NPP. He stated that his actions reflect his commitment to defending the Judiciary. This commitment has defined his career from the beginning.

Speaking on JOY FM, he said, “Good men must speak for righteousness.” He emphasized that he has always defended the judiciary against attacks. He believes it is crucial to correct misleading information in public discourse.

Dame added, “We cannot let people mislead the public uncorrected.” His current actions align with everything he has done since becoming Attorney General. He stressed that this situation is about fighting unwarranted attacks on the judiciary.

He accused the NDC government of trying to undermine the Judiciary for their own purposes.

In response, Edudzi Tamakloe, Director of Legal Affairs for the NDC, welcomed Torkornoo's injunction application. He described it as refreshing and interesting.

Speaking on CITI FM, Tamakloe noted that this application shows how justice works. He expressed hope that Torkornoo would receive all constitutional opportunities as a citizen.

Tamakloe concluded by saying he finds her application quite refreshing.
