Francis Xavier Sosu, the MP for Madina, defended Sammy Gyamfi.
Sammy Gyamfi is the Acting CEO of the Ghana Gold Board. He faced criticism after a video surfaced online. The video showed him gifting large sums of dollars to Nana Agradaa, a former fetish priestess turned pastor.
In the viral video on X, Gyamfi stood next to his white Range Rover. He was taking a photo with Nana Agradaa. After their brief conversation, he sat in his car and counted US dollars.
Nana Agradaa insisted that he give her all the money. She grabbed it from him and flaunted it to bystanders, saying she had taken dollars from him.
Sosu posted on X, supporting Gyamfi. He stated that Gyamfi committed no crime and encouraged him to stay focused.
Sammy Gyamfi later issued a public apology for his actions. He expressed regret over the incident and acknowledged the criticism he received.
Gyamfi explained that giving money is part of his custom to help others in need. He thought this act of kindness would remain private but regretted its public exposure.
Reports indicate that Julius Debrah, Chief of Staff, has summoned Gyamfi regarding the video with Nana Agradaa.
