The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has reassured the public that they can respond to emergency situations, especially fire outbreaks, within five minutes, given the proximity of a fire station and the timely reception of emergency calls.
Head of Public Relations, Mr. Desmond Ackah, emphasized that GNFS personnel are well-trained and prepared to act swiftly.
He urged Ghanaians to immediately dial emergency numbers 112, 192, or 0302772446 for urgent assistance. Ackah also warned against prank calls, which disrupt operations and affect the service’s efficiency.
He encouraged citizens to purchase fire extinguishers as part of their festive season gifts to promote safety and prevent fire-related incidents.
