JAGILS partners Rolla Foundation to support less privileged children in Kumasi

The Jacobs-Abbey Global Institute for Leadership Studies (JAGILS Education Center) is committed to practical leadership. They recently launched an empowerment initiative for vulnerable children in Ghana.

Representatives from JAGILS, along with the Rolla Foundation and others, donated essential items to Cherub's Children's Home in Kumasi. This effort is part of JAGILS' corporate social responsibility program. The program highlights community service as vital for leadership development.

The donation ceremony was filled with goodwill and compassion. Children received material support and refreshments from the JAGILS community.

This initiative received strong backing from the Institute's Board of Trustees, Advisory Council, faculty, management team, students, and alumni. Everyone contributed financially to support the project.

Vida Osei-Agyemang, JAGILS Ghana Campus Coordinator, led this initiative. She worked closely with staff members and student volunteers.

This philanthropic partnership reflects JAGILS' educational philosophy: "Transforming Learners into Leaders." Mrs. Osei-Agyemang noted that such initiatives help develop leadership skills by empowering others.

She said, “Active participation gives students practical experience in social responsibility.” This reinforces the belief that true leadership involves compassionate action beyond theory.

Professor Dr. Samuel Jacobs-Abbey is the Executive Director of JAGILS Education Center. He emphasized the importance of philanthropy in demonstrating leadership.

“At JAGILS, we believe education goes beyond classroom walls,” he stated. He quoted Marcus Aurelius: "What we do for ourselves dies with us." He added that supporting Cherub's Children's Home shows that true leadership starts with serving others.

JAGILS aims to develop transformative leaders through innovative education programs. These programs focus on academic excellence, ethical leadership, and community engagement.

The Rolla Foundation works to improve underprivileged communities through strategic partnerships and sustainable development initiatives.
