The Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG) has strongly condemned the attack on Murtala Inusah, a Legal Affairs Correspondent for EIB Network, who was assaulted by supporters of Bishop Salifu Amoako during a court hearing related to a fatal car accident involving the bishop’s son.

Inusah's phone was damaged, and he suffered cuts on his wrist while capturing footage outside the courtroom.

JUSAG called the incident an assault on both the judiciary and press freedom, highlighting the increasing violence in court settings and urging immediate measures to ensure the safety of journalists and court staff.

The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has similarly condemned the attack, demanding prompt police action.
