James Agalga accuses Ntim Fordjour of concocting the drugs and cash aircraft saga

James Agalga, Chairman of Parliament's Defence and Interior Committee, has made serious accusations. He claims Rev. John Ntim Fordjour fabricated allegations about two aircraft involved in drugs and money laundering.

Mr. Agalga spoke on JoyNews' Newsfile programme on April 12. He criticized the NPP MP for trying to damage the State's image.

He questioned why Ntim Fordjour chose a public press release over official security channels. “If your Ranking Member was not being malicious, why rant against security agencies?” he asked.

Agalga believes Ntim Fordjour lacks facts to support his claims. He accused him of creating a false narrative to stir public suspicion.

“He didn’t have his facts right and he was being malicious,” Mr. Agalga stated firmly. “He concocted the story and threw it against the state.”

These comments come amid rising tensions regarding security agencies' roles. There are also concerns about political interference in national security matters.

Mr. Agalga stressed that parliamentary leaders must act responsibly. They should not compromise state institutions for political gain.
