Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has officially assumed office as Ghana's Vice President after being sworn in by Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo.

The historic ceremony, held in Accra, saw Prof. Opoku-Agyemang taking the Oath of Allegiance and the Vice President’s Oath, marking her as the first woman to hold the position in Ghana’s history.
