Jesus didn’t die on Friday—Apostle Abel Damina Declares

Apostle Abel Damina, a well-known preacher, has sparked debate. He claims Jesus Christ did not die on a Friday.

In a recent teaching, he challenged the traditional Good Friday story. He pointed out inconsistencies in the belief that Jesus was buried on Friday and rose on Sunday.

“Jesus didn’t die on Friday,” Apostle Damina said. “If he did, it wouldn’t be three days.” He questioned how one could count from Friday to Sunday as three days.

He referenced scripture, saying, “As Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly, so shall the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.”

He criticized the common calculation from Friday to Sunday. “Friday to Saturday evening is one night,” he explained. “Saturday evening to Sunday evening is two nights.”

While acknowledging Good Friday as a public holiday, he clarified its significance. “It’s good that government gave us Friday off,” he said. “But it’s not a celebration of his death because the timeline doesn’t add up.”

Instead, he offered an alternative view based on Jewish traditions and biblical prophecy.

“He's supposed to be in the grave for three days and three nights,” he noted. “Jonah prophesied what Jesus would do.”

He concluded by stating when Jesus actually died: “He died Wednesday night during High Mass.”
