John Dramani Mahama has been inaugurated as Ghana’s president at a grand ceremony at the Black Star Square in Accra.

Witnessed by thousands of citizens and global leaders, the event marks Mahama’s return to power after serving as president from 2012 to 2017.

Mahama secured a decisive 56.6% of the vote in the 2024 election, defeating Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the NPP, who garnered 41.6%.

His win represents the largest margin in 24 years, reflecting the electorate’s call for change.

In his inaugural address, Mahama pledged to tackle economic challenges, corruption, unemployment, and environmental damage.

As Ghana enters this new chapter, expectations are high for Mahama’s administration to deliver progress and restore hope to the nation.
