Parliament has approved the first group of deputy ministers following their vetting by the Appointments Committee on February 26.
Among them is actor-turned-politician John Dumelo, who will serve as Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture, a move that has drawn attention due to his background in farming and agribusiness.
Other approved appointees include Thomas Ampem Nyarko (Finance), Ebenezer Terlabi (Interior), Samson Ahi (Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry), Clement Apaak (Education), and Richard Gyan Mensah (Energy).
Their confirmation reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening key sectors with experienced personnel.
