John Jinapor engages CSOs in Energy Sector

John Jinapor, the Minority Spokesperson on Energy, recently met with various Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to discuss critical issues affecting Ghana's energy sector. The engagement aimed to foster dialogue and collaboration between lawmakers and civil society in addressing challenges such as power outages, energy accessibility, and sustainability. Jinapor emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in managing energy resources, urging CSOs to play a more active role in monitoring government activities in this area.

During the meeting, participants expressed concerns over rising electricity tariffs and their impact on households and businesses. They also highlighted the need for innovative solutions to ensure reliable energy supply while promoting renewable sources. Jinapor reassured attendees that the opposition is committed to advocating for policies that prioritize citizens' welfare and environmental sustainability.

The discussions underscored a shared commitment among stakeholders to work towards a more efficient and equitable energy system in Ghana. This collaborative approach aims not only to address immediate challenges but also to lay the groundwork for a sustainable future for the nation's energy landscape.
