Join me on the ‘Thank You Tour’ – Bawumia to NPP leaders

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP's 2024 Presidential Candidate, has invited party leaders to join him on a nationwide ‘Thank You Tour.’

He aims to promote unity within the party ahead of the 2024 general elections.

Dr. Bawumia won the party’s flagbearer position with about 61.43% of the vote. He defeated notable figures like Kennedy Agyapong and Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto.

At the tour launch on April 23, 2025, in Accra, he explained his decision to include former rivals.

“This is a break from tradition,” he said, emphasizing his desire for unity.

“Normally, the presidential candidate does this alone,” he noted. “But I want us to be united.” He believes unity is crucial for strengthening the NPP’s chances in the election.

Dr. Bawumia stated that a joint tour would show solidarity and boost morale among supporters. “I want to invite my former contestants so we can show a united front,” he added.

He urged party members to focus on winning the national polls instead of internal competition.

“It’s not about winning primaries,” he asserted. “We need a strong party machinery for victory.”

The nationwide tour will cover all 16 regions and thank delegates while rallying support for the campaign.
