President John Dramani Mahama has appointed celebrated actress Joselyn Dumas as Deputy Director for Diaspora Affairs, reaffirming his commitment to integrating creative industry professionals into governance.
Dumas, widely recognized for her impact in entertainment, will now focus on strengthening Ghana’s engagement with its diaspora, promoting cultural diplomacy, and attracting investment.
Her appointment is part of a broader strategy, which also includes fashion designer Kofi Okyere-Darko (KOD) as Presidential Adviser on Diaspora Affairs, and actors Kafui Danku and James Gardiner as executives at the National Film Authority.
In her new role, Dumas is expected to leverage her influence and global connections to foster national heritage, encourage tourism, and enhance Ghana’s ties with its diaspora community.
