Dr. Joseph Yamin, National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has revealed that the Temporary Assets Recovery (TAR) Committee, which he chairs, is investigating claims of state vehicles being sold at discounted rates to associates of the Nana Akufo-Addo-Dr. Bawumia administration.

Speaking on Ultimate FM’s Cup of Tea, Dr. Yamin alleged that V8 Land Cruisers were being sold for as little as GH₵20,000 to bodyguards and insiders.

He disclosed that the TAR team has already recovered over 20 vehicles in Accra and is working with police to identify and reclaim more state assets.

Yamin defended the taskforce's actions, equating them to "witch-hunting," stating that wrongdoers must be held accountable.

Additionally, a five-member "Operation Recover All Loot" (ORAL) Committee, set up by President-Elect John Mahama, is coordinating broader intelligence efforts to tackle unlawful asset appropriation.
