Journalists are encouraged to amplify the voices of vulnerable children. This is especially important for girls. They should do this through ethical and impactful storytelling.
This message was shared at a training workshop in Ho, Volta Region. The workshop began on Wednesday and lasts three days. It was organized by Plan International Ghana (PIGHA). The goal is to equip journalists with skills for advocating child rights and gender equality.
The theme of the workshop is: ‘Amplifying Community Voices: Storytelling with Integrity and Impact.’ This initiative aims to strengthen media capacity on critical social issues.
Constant Tchona, the Country Director of Plan International Ghana, spoke at the opening session. He emphasized the vital role of journalists in shaping narratives about child rights and gender equality.
