Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Special Aide to President John Mahama, has issued a legal demand to NPP Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe (Abronye), over alleged defamatory remarks made on Net 2 TV.

In a notice dated April 3, 2025, her lawyers accused Abronye of spreading “false and malicious” claims, including that she refused a ministerial post for a “stress-free” presidential staffer role with a GH₵95,000 monthly salary.

The comments, widely shared online and across media platforms, have reportedly caused Mogtari significant distress and reputational harm.

Her legal team says the accusations were reckless and unverified, despite public access to her actual role and remuneration details.

They are demanding a full retraction, public apology across all media outlets that shared the remarks, and GH₵10 million in compensation for damages.

The matter has sparked debate on media accountability and political discourse in Ghana.
