Just 120 days in gov’t, Sammy Gyamfi is flaunting an opulence lifestyle – Nana B

Henry Nana Boakye, known as Nana B, is the National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He has accused Sammy Gyamfi, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board, of living a lavish lifestyle. This claim comes just 120 days into Gyamfi's tenure.

Nana B stated that Gyamfi drives a 2025 Range Rover Autobiography worth $350,000. He described Gyamfi's lifestyle as ostentatious and flaunting opulence.

Additionally, Nana B alleged that Gyamfi uses US dollars instead of Ghanaian cedis for daily expenses. He claimed that Gyamfi receives a clothing allowance of GH₵150,000 and $2,000 daily during a 30-day vacation.

Gyamfi also reportedly has two official vehicles and personal accident and life insurance valued at five times his salary. This totals GH₵7.5 million in benefits.

At a press conference on May 13, 2025, Nana B expressed concern over these allegations. He said it is unethical for Gyamfi to enjoy such benefits while undermining confidence in the Ghana cedi.

The NPP minority in parliament previously revealed details about Gyamfi’s salary and benefits. They noted he earns GH¢125,000 per month with an annual increase of 15 percent. The minority emphasized that his compensation exceeds that of Members of Parliament.
