Eugene Boakye Antwi, a former MP for Subin, is urging the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to replace its General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, citing poor performance.
He argues that Kodua’s leadership led to a decline in parliamentary seats from 137 to 88, making him unfit to continue.
“Elections are determined by results,” Antwi stated, drawing parallels to the ousting of John Boadu under similar circumstances. He called for the entire leadership team to step aside, labeling their tenure a failure.
Antwi referenced past leaders like Mac Manu and Ohene Ntow, who stepped down after losing elections, as examples for Kodua to follow. He insists that a fresh leadership is essential to revive the party’s prospects.
