The first phase of the $10 million refurbishment of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) is 95% complete, with the four-phase HealKATH project spearheaded by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
Last Friday, Otumfuo led a delegation, including government officials and chiefs, to inspect the ongoing work as part of his 25th Anniversary legacy project.
The initiative aims to transform KATH into one of West Africa’s leading healthcare centers while preserving the cultural heritage of the Ashanti people.
The project focuses on upgrading hospital infrastructure, improving patient experience, and addressing the urgent need for modern facilities.
Otumfuo expressed satisfaction with the renovations, particularly the transformation of Block A, and commended the contributions of donors and corporate bodies. He also encouraged continued support for the project's completion.
