KFC Ghana launches nationwide Art Competition to spotlight local talent and culture

KFC Ghana has launched a new initiative to celebrate local art. The KFC Art Competition invites Ghanaian artists to submit original works. These works should be inspired by local themes, landmarks, and flavors.

Artists can win cash prizes, free KFC meals for a year, and display their art in KFC stores. The competition opened on April 13 and will close on May 7, 2025. This gives artists four weeks to submit their entries.

Accepted formats include paintings, drawings, sketches, graffiti, and sculptures. All submissions should reflect Ghanaian culture and lifestyle. Bonus points will be given for pieces featuring landmarks near KFC locations.

To enter, participants must send high-resolution images of their artwork along with an artist profile via Google Drive to [email protected].

The selection process has two phases. First, the competition committee will shortlist entries. Then the public will vote on the Top 10 artworks through KFC Ghana’s social media pages. A panel of art experts will judge the finalists to determine the Top 3 winners.

Winners will be announced in June 2025. Their artwork will be featured in KFC locations nationwide throughout the year. All participants will gain valuable exposure as KFC plans to showcase submissions across its digital platforms.

Derick Darko, Marketing Manager of KFC Ghana, expressed excitement about the project. He said it celebrates Ghana's creative spirit and elevates local talent while connecting art with community in restaurants.

Art enthusiasts and potential participants are encouraged to follow KFC Ghana's official social media channels for updates. The KFC Art Competition aims to be a significant event in Ghana's art calendar this year.
