KGL’s Alex Dadey wins CEO of the Year for third time

Alex Apau Dadey, Executive Chairman of KGL Group, received two awards at the 9th Ghana CEO Excellence Awards. He was named CEO of the Year in both the Group Business Sector (Private Sector) and Public Private Partnership (PPP) Technology Sector. This marks his third consecutive win in the private sector category.

The Ghana CEO Summit gathered over 500 leaders from various sectors. The theme was “Leading Ghana’s Economic Reset: Transforming Business and Governance for a Sustainable Futuristic Economy.” The event focused on leadership, digital innovation, sustainability, and ethical governance.

Mr. Dadey's recognition highlights his strong leadership in Ghana’s private sector. It also reflects his commitment to responsible corporate practices and impactful innovation. Under his guidance, KGL Technology has led digital transformation in ICT, gaming, and telecommunications.

In his acceptance speech on May 26, he expressed gratitude for the honor. He emphasized that this achievement belongs to the entire KGL Group team. He thanked partners and stakeholders for their trust and collaboration.

Mr. Dadey praised President John Dramani Mahama for fostering collaboration with the private sector. He noted that recognizing businesses as engines of progress creates opportunities for innovation. He believes government and industry must work together to build a resilient Ghana.

During the summit, Mr. Dadey stressed the need for homegrown solutions to Africa’s challenges. He highlighted KGL Group’s approach to Public-Private partnerships as an example of positive economic evolution.

He stated that African entrepreneurs should design technology that fits local realities. At KGL Group, they believe sustainable solutions are created by Africans for Africans.
