The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has appointed Mr. Richard Ofori Agyeman Boadi as Chief Executive. He received 55 out of 56 votes in an election on Thursday.
President John Dramani Mahama nominated him for this position. The President praised his leadership and public service record. Boadi previously served as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Obuasi.
During his time in Obuasi, he focused on infrastructure development. He also improved local governance and encouraged community engagement.
As the new Chief Executive, Boadi promises transformative leadership. His goals include revitalizing Kumasi’s central business district and addressing urban congestion. He aims to restore the historical vibrancy of the Garden City.
