The leadership of the KNUST chapter of TEWU-GH plans to suspend their strike.
The union began an indefinite strike on April 30. This was in protest against being sidelined on KNUST's new governing council.
In an interview with Citi News, Chairman Charles Arthur shared details. He said the official decision will come after a meeting on May 5.
Arthur explained, "We will suspend it because we have had discussions." They met with the Director General of the Tertiary Education Commission.
They agreed to give themselves two weeks to resolve the issue. Therefore, they feel it is necessary to suspend the strike.
