KNUST admits over 50,000 fresh students for 2024/2025 academic year

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has welcomed 50,895 new students for the 2024/2025 academic year out of 92,975 applications received. Vice-Chancellor Prof.

Mrs. Rita Akosua Dickson highlighted that 69,882 met the entry requirements, but due to constraints, only 50,895 were admitted—comprising 11,084 postgraduate and 39,811 undergraduate students.

Speaking at the virtual matriculation ceremony, she urged students to uphold KNUST’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, and Excellence while taking full advantage of digital learning tools and student support services.

Prof. Dickson reassured them of the university’s commitment to their security and personal growth, encouraging resilience, hard work, and determination.

“You are here because we believe in your potential,” she emphasized.
