KNUST declares 2 former students persona non grata over indiscipline, campus disturbances

KNUST has declared two former students, Ransford Fosu-Boateng (a.k.a. Scammer Baby) and Raphael Appiah Owusu, persona non grata, citing repeated misconduct and threats to campus security.

Despite their dismissals—Fosu-Boateng in 2022 and Owusu after the 2023/24 academic year—they reportedly returned to campus, causing disruptions and harassing students.

Their involvement in a recent act of vandalism, caught on CCTV, prompted the university’s decisive action. Management has warned students against associating with the duo, vowing disciplinary action against anyone who aids them.

The university reaffirmed its commitment to a safe and orderly academic environment in a statement signed by Dr. Daniel Norris Bekoe.
