KNUST provides update on investigation into student’s tragic death

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has announced significant progress in the ongoing investigation into the death of student Joana Deladem Yabani.

In a statement from the Office of the Registrar, the university confirmed that investigators have retrieved Joana’s laptop and mobile phone, which were found hidden behind the Flint Hostel.

The discovery was made through CCTV analysis.

Meanwhile, 21-year-old final-year student Daniel Tuffuor, the prime suspect, has been remanded in police custody.

He appeared before the Prempeh District Court, which granted a request for further investigations. He is expected to reappear in court on March 17, 2025.
