The Accra High Court has adjourned the GHC10 million defamation case filed by former National Security Minister Albert Kan Dapaah against activist Oliver Barker-Vormawor to February 28, 2025.

The adjournment followed a request from Barker-Vormawor’s counsel, Dr. Justice Srem Sai, citing unavailability.

Kan Dapaah’s lawyer, Bright Otchere Adjekum, criticized the request as a “lame excuse” but failed to persuade the court to award costs against the defendant.

The case involves allegations by Barker-Vormawor claiming Kan Dapaah and other officials attempted to bribe him to cease his activism.

Kan Dapaah denies the claims, seeking GHC10 million in damages, an apology, and an injunction to prevent further defamatory statements.
