Kasoa sanitation crackdown: 7 arrested as MCE issues stern warning

Seven people have been arrested by the sanitation taskforce in Kasoa.

They face various offences and will soon appear in court.

Municipal Chief Executive Seth Sabba Banini Serwornu announced this during a dialogue on sanitation.

The meeting aimed to improve cleanliness in the municipality.

He warned residents against littering, especially in markets and streets.

The assembly plans to intensify its crackdown with a dedicated task force.

“We will not tolerate abuse of public spaces,” the MCE stated.

“Anyone caught littering will face legal consequences.”

Phillis Naa Koryoo, the Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East, supports this agenda.

She plans to work with the assembly to secure a dumping site for market refuse.

This aims to enhance waste management in Kasoa.

ASP Emmanuel Amponsah oversees the Kasoa Central Business District.

He assured that police will support efforts to enforce sanitation laws.

They aim to keep the town’s main streets clean.
