Ken Ofori-Atta playing hide and seek with OSP – Tanko Computer

Dr. Tanko Rashid Computer is the Deputy National Director of Elections and IT for the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He claims that former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta is avoiding the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).

Dr. Tanko stated on TV3 New Day that Ofori-Atta is not sick. He said, “He’s well, he’s hearty. There’s nothing wrong with him. He’s only doing hide and seek.”

He believes Ofori-Atta understands the seriousness of the crimes being investigated. His lawyers have advised him to adopt this strategy, but it won’t help.

Dr. Tanko also emphasized President John Mahama's commitment to fighting corruption. Under Mahama, public officials are held to higher ethical standards.

“President Mahama aims to build a prosperous nation free from corruption,” Dr. Tanko added. He noted that there hasn’t been a single corruption scandal in nearly six months.

His comments follow an announcement from the Special Prosecutor about an INTERPOL red notice for Ofori-Atta. On June 2, Kissi Agyebeng said he initiated this process for Ofori-Atta's arrest and extradition.

Agyebeng rejected Ofori-Atta’s request for a virtual session with the OSP. He insisted that Ofori-Atta must appear in person.

Kissi Agyebeng stated, “We want him here physically, and we insist on it.” He stressed that suspects cannot dictate how investigations are conducted.

Ken Ofori-Atta has now been listed as wanted on Interpol's official website.
