Journalist Kwaku Dawuro has questioned Kennedy Agyapong’s Christian faith. He claims Agyapong does not acknowledge Jesus Christ.
Dawuro spoke on Movement in the Morning on Movement TV and Wontumi Radio. He suggested that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) should support a unifying leader. He believes this is better than backing one who creates division.
His comments seemed aimed at Agyapong. Dawuro noted that Agyapong had previously criticized religious leaders, causing tensions before the 2020 elections.
Dawuro referenced a meeting where Agyapong met with lawyers. He claimed Agyapong blamed the NPP’s potential 2024 loss on choosing a Muslim candidate.
He rejected what he called religious bigotry, stating, “On record, Kennedy Agyapong is not a Christian.”
Dawuro praised Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for his ability to unite different religious groups.
He asked, “Between a Muslim who brings Christians together and a Christian who divides… who can lead a nation?”
He concluded that supporting a leader who promotes harmony is more beneficial than one who causes discord.
