Kennedy Agyapong empathises with Adum fire victims, pledges support for them

Kennedy Agyapong, a former presidential aspirant of the NPP, is deeply saddened by a recent fire in Adum. The fire destroyed several shops in Kumasi's Central Business District early on March 21. Many traders are now facing significant losses.

Mr. Agyapong expressed his condolences to the affected traders and their families. He understands the pain of losing livelihoods in such heartbreaking circumstances.

In a statement on March 25, he shared his empathy for those impacted. "This setback is truly heartbreaking," he said. He reassured them that they are not alone and that the nation stands together.

As a businessman, Mr. Agyapong knows how hard it is to build a business. He mentioned the long hours and sacrifices involved in creating a better future.

He reflected on the profound loss felt by those who lost their businesses. "To see it all taken away in an instant is painful beyond words," he stated.

The fire has raised concerns about market fires in Ghana. Mr. Agyapong called for urgent action from the Ghana National Fire Service and other agencies. He emphasized the need for safer markets and better fire prevention systems.

"Market fires have become too frequent," he noted, stressing that protecting traders protects Ghana's future.

Although currently out of the country, Mr. Agyapong sent a team to assess the situation and provide support to those affected. He plans to visit personally upon his return.

He encouraged residents of Kejetia, Adum, Dr Mensah, and Roman Hill not to lose hope. "Ghana is strong because of its people," he said, urging unity and support for one another.

Mr. Agyapong offered prayers for the victims of the fire as well. "May God strengthen our mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters during these trying times."

He concluded with blessings for Ghana: "God bless our homeland."
