King Zubah Confirmed As Mayor Of Kumasi

Richard Ofori Agyemang Sworn in as Mayor of Kumasi

Mr. Richard Ofori Agyemang has been confirmed as the Mayor of Kumasi.

The confirmation took place at the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA).

Fifty-six assembly members were present, including 36 elected and 20 appointees.

They voted overwhelmingly, with 98.2% supporting his appointment.

Fifty-five members voted Yes, while one member voted No.

Dr. Frank Amoakohene, the Ashanti Regional Minister, officiated the swearing-in ceremony.

He administered the Oath of Secrecy and office to Mr. Agyemang.

The Regional Minister praised the Assembly Members for their strong support.

He emphasized that this endorsement would help advance the metropolis and region.

Mr. Agyemang, also known as King Zubah, expressed deep gratitude to the president.

He thanked the Ashanti Regional Chairman and other executives for their support.

He also acknowledged Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for accepting his nomination.

Mr. Agyemang promised to work in the best interest of Kumasi.
