Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng has called for urgent reforms to entrench Ghana’s anti-corruption efforts, emphasizing that the fight must be institutionalized rather than personalized.
Speaking at the UPSA Law School and One Ghana Movement’s Constitution Day Lecture, he proposed key measures, including enshrining the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) in the constitution, enacting a Corrupt Practices Act for legal clarity, and establishing specialized anti-corruption courts.
He also advocated for stringent lifestyle audits and greater transparency in political party financing to combat illicit wealth accumulation.
Agyebeng further suggested integrating anti-corruption studies into school curricula to instill ethical values from an early age.
He stressed that these reforms are essential to ensuring lasting progress in the fight against corruption and state capture.
