Fresh details have emerged about the shooting of Ghanaian journalist Kofi Adoma Nwanwani during a festival in Gomoa Amanful.
His wife, Nana Abena Etruba, who is also the Benkumhene of the area, recounted the incident in a recent interview, stating that it was captured on camera and will be shared later.
Kofi Adoma was serving as the official journalist for the event, documenting the traditional festivities with his media team.
Ceremonial gunfire, a custom to honor the arrival of ‘eye red’ men, tragically turned into chaos when a musketeer aimed and fired directly at Adoma.
The shot struck his face, leaving him critically injured. Nana Etruba expressed disbelief, questioning the recklessness behind the act, as onlookers rushed to save the journalist.
