Kosmos Energy pledges $2bn investment  …in Ghana’s petroleum sector - Energy Minister

Kosmos Energy plans to invest $2 billion in Ghana's upstream operations. This investment will greatly enhance the country's petroleum sector.

Mr. John Jinapor, the Minister of Energy and Green Transition, announced this news. He stated that Kosmos Energy's investment marks a new chapter for Ghana’s energy sector. This chapter focuses on transparency, collaboration, and opportunity.

The announcement took place at the 2025 Africa Energy Forum (AEF). It was during this year’s Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston, Texas.

Mr. Jinapor emphasized Ghana's efforts to attract energy investments. He highlighted the country’s commitment to being competitive and transparent for investors.
