Kotoka arrival glitch: GACL says sorry for locked door incident

The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has apologized to passengers. This apology is for the inconvenience at Kotoka International Airport (KIA) on April 7, 2025.

A press release from GACL stated that the issue occurred with Passion Air flight 143. Passengers arriving from Kumasi at 07:56 am could not enter the arrival hall. The main arrival gate of Terminal 2 was locked.

GACL management expressed regret over this situation. They assured passengers and the public that an investigation is underway.

The company extended sincere apologies to those affected by the operational issue. They confirmed that corrective actions are being taken to prevent future incidents.

Management is investigating the cause of the problem. They plan to implement necessary disciplinary actions based on their findings.
