Krachi West NDC Executives demand fresh vetting for MCE nominees

Some aggrieved National Democratic Congress (NDC) constituency executives in Krachi West, Oti Region, are demanding a re-vetting of all aspirants for the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) position.

At a press conference, they raised concerns over transparency, alleging bias in the selection process.

Constituency Chairman Nicholas Wayp Dordoe accused MP Helen Adwoa Ntoso of influencing the vetting to sideline dedicated party executives.

He also claimed the MP failed to support the campaign financially before the 2024 elections, yet now wants control over the MCE appointment.

The executives are calling on the NDC leadership to intervene, arguing that fairness is essential to maintain party unity and trust.

They insist an independent body should oversee a fresh review of the nominees.
