Nana Boadi Amponim Obodade III, the Krontihene of Akyem Asuom, praised President John Dramani Mahama. He described Mahama's first 120 days in office as “exceptionally good.” This performance signals a brighter future for Ghana under the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
In an interview, Nana Obodade thanked the people of Kwaebibrem for their support. He also expressed gratitude to President Mahama for appointing Emmanuel Kofi Nti as Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the region. He promised his community’s full support for the new MCE.
Reflecting on Mahama’s early days in office, he said, “So far, so, so, so good.” He noted that some supporters faced threats and insults but remained confident in Mahama's leadership. Now, they can say that President Mahama is performing excellently.
Nana Obodade boldly compared Mahama’s leadership to that of his predecessor. He stated that Mahama is “a million miles” ahead and stands with great leaders like Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
He predicted long-term political dominance for the NDC. The party’s “Reset Ghana” agenda is not just a four-year project; it extends beyond 2028. Nana Obodade believes Ghanaians will grant the NDC another 20 years in power.
“This reset agenda aims to build a Ghana that works,” he stated. He envisions a country where health systems and infrastructure are envied by all black African nations. By 2048, he believes our systems will be strong enough to withstand any political challenges.
