Former President of Ghana, John Agyekum Kufuor, has endorsed the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving. This event is scheduled for July 1, 2025. He emphasized that governance should be based on humanity, unity, and inclusiveness.
Kufuor made these comments during a visit from the Planning Committee. This meeting took place at his residence in Peduase on May 30. He praised President John Mahama for this initiative and called Republic Day significant.
He stated, "Republic Day was when Ghana got its first president." He believes this day should not be overlooked. Kufuor supports using the day to thank God and seek prosperity.
Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, Chairman of the Planning Committee, thanked Kufuor for his support. He said, "Kufuor gave us a warm reception and endorsed our idea." Ankrah noted that Kufuor promised to attend if he is available.
