A fierce blaze has destroyed several residential apartments in Bomso. This suburb is located in the Oforikrom Municipality of Kumasi, Ashanti region.
Eyewitnesses say the fire started in a single-room apartment. It quickly spread to nearby rooms within the compound.

DO2 Appiah Anthony, the District Fire Commander for Oforikrom, led firefighters to the scene. He confirmed that his team responded quickly to the emergency call.
However, he mentioned that the fire's intensity made it hard to contain. The building's layout also posed challenges for firefighters.
