Kumasi: Form 2 student allegedly shoots colleagues at ADASS

A tragic shooting occurred at Bantama Seventh Day Adventist Secondary School in Kumasi on April 4, 2025. Two students were severely injured in the incident.

The shooting happened during break time. Bernard Amoabeng, a second-year student, brought a firearm to school. Eyewitnesses reported an argument among students about the gun's functionality.

To prove it worked, Amoabeng allegedly fired the weapon. He accidentally hit two students in the process. One victim suffered a serious head injury and was taken to Kwadaso Hospital.

That student was later referred to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for advanced care. The Suame Police have arrested Amoabeng and are investigating the incident. Authorities say inquiries are ongoing and more details will be provided soon.
