The Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) have announced extended hours for two airports.
Starting June 1, 2025, Prempeh I International Airport in Kumasi will stay open until 11 PM. This is an extension from the current closing time of 8 PM.
Tamale International Airport will also have new hours. It will now operate until 10 PM, instead of the previous 6 PM.
A statement from GCAA and GACL mentioned that a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) has been issued to all airlines.
The GCAA advised domestic airlines to adjust their schedules accordingly. They suggested increasing flight frequency to and from both airports.
The public is encouraged to note these changes and plan their travel accordingly.
