Kusaug Traditional Area moves toward peace after youth-police dialogue

The youth of Kusasi and the Ghana Police Service are working toward reconciliation. This effort brings calm to the Kusaug Traditional Area after recent violence.

The dialogue began with Bawku Naba Asigri Abugrago Azoka II, the Zug-Raan of Kusaag. He urged both sides to set aside their differences. The goal is to restore law and order in the community.

A successful dialogue was facilitated by the Kusaag Advisory Council. This led to reconciliation between Kusasi youth leaders and local police.

Following this agreement, the youth started a sensitization exercise. They are promoting coexistence across six districts and municipalities in Kusaaug.

The Zug-Raan expressed gratitude to both groups for their cooperation. He praised their efforts to maintain peace in the community.

He assured police personnel of their safety and that of their families. The statement was signed by David Adoliba, Secretary to the Overlord.
