Kwabena Adu-Boahene Rearrested After Completing Remand
Kwabena Adu-Boahene, former National Signals Bureau boss, has been rearrested. This is related to a new case against him. He will remain in police custody despite finishing a seven-day remand.
Adu-Boahene was initially remanded on May 2 for witness tampering. His current situation involves allegations of corruption and misappropriation of GH¢49.1 million.
On May 13, his lawyer, Samuel Atta Akyea, informed the court about the rearrest. However, he did not reveal details about the new case. The Attorney General previously mentioned an investigation into Adu-Boahene's involvement with Ghana Water Limited.
The judge has scheduled a case management conference for May 26 regarding the alleged diversion of funds. The state has submitted all witness statements and will share them with the defense by May 20.
