Kwabena Adu-Boahene’s wife accused of destroying evidence in corruption case

Angela Adjei Boateng is the wife of former NSB Director-General Kwabena Adu-Boahene. She faces accusations of tampering with evidence in their corruption case.

On March 28, Deputy Attorney General Justice Srem Sai spoke in court. He claimed Angela interfered with evidence after learning about her husband's arrest.

He stated that when Kwabena was arrested, he contacted Angela immediately. CCTV footage shows Angela scattering suitcases believed to hold currency bills.

The prosecution argues that granting lenient bail could lead to flight risks. They also believe it may hinder the pursuit of justice in this high-profile case.
